Gestures (Swipe Actions)
Customize what happens when you swipe left or right on an email.
- Open Gmail App → Menu (☰) → Settings.
- Tap "Mail swipe actions" (iOS) or "General settings" → "Swipe actions" (Android).
- Set Left Swipe to "Trash" and Right Swipe to "Archive" (or your preference).
Lesson 2: Offline Access
Read, respond, and search your Gmail messages even when you aren't
connected to the Internet.
Enabling Gmail Offline (Desktop)
- Go to Gmail Settings → Offline tab.
- Check "Enable offline mail".
- Choose how many days of messages to store (7, 30, or 90).
- Click Save Changes.
Note: On mobile, the app caches recent emails automatically.
Lesson 3: Multiple Accounts
Manage personal and work emails in one place without signing out.
Adding Another Account
- Tap your profile picture in the top right.
- Select Add another account.
- Choose the email provider (Google, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.).
- Sign in.
Pro Tip: Select "All Inboxes" from the menu to see emails from all
accounts in a unified view.
Lesson 4: Sync & Notifications
Ensure you never miss an important email, but don't get overwhelmed.
Customizing Notifications
You don't need a buzz for every newsletter.
- Go to Settings → Select your account → Notifications.
- Choose High priority only.
- Gmail will use AI to only notify you of important emails.
